Before a suitable slot appears
You do not need an existing appointment before starting a visa cancellation search. A cancellation is appointment availability released by a provider, so a search can be set up even if you have not booked anything.
MyVisaPing is a visa appointment Cancellation Finder. It searches throughout the day for your chosen route and contacts you by email when a suitable appointment slot appears. The message is not confirmation. Complete the booking on the official provider website if the slot remains available and your details are accepted.
Do you need a booking to begin
No. An existing appointment is not required. Start with the destination, application location, visa category and date range that match your plans. If a suitable opening appears, the email update gives you a chance to visit the correct official portal and follow its process.
If you already have an appointment, you can look for a more suitable date where the route permits it. Keep the original booking until a new one is confirmed through the official portal. Change and cancellation rules differ, so starting a new search does not alter your existing appointment.
What a Cancellation Finder does, and does not do
Appointments can become available when another applicant changes plans, releases a booking or a provider releases more places. Availability is controlled by the embassy, consulate or commercial provider, not by MyVisaPing. A Cancellation Finder cannot create a slot or guarantee it will remain open when you reach the provider's site.
MyVisaPing does not book, reserve, hold, sell or transfer appointments. It searches for cancellations on the selected route and sends the result by email. You sign in to the official booking journey, check the details and complete the process there.
Set the route correctly before you search
The right application centre depends on where you live, the destination and the provider serving the route. These details are not interchangeable. A London search should not be used for an application lodged in Dublin, and a VFS route is not the same booking journey as TLScontact.
Official France-Visas guidance says TLScontact receives applications in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Review the France from London route or the France from Edinburgh route before choosing your search. The same guidance directs applicants in Ireland to appointments at the French Embassy in Dublin, while UAE guidance identifies VFS in Abu Dhabi for eligible residents. See the France from Dublin route and the France from Abu Dhabi route for their starting points.
Provider instructions can change, so use the official embassy, consulate or provider page linked in your route as the final authority. German missions in the United States and Canada direct eligible applicants to official appointment systems. VFS Global route pages also ask applicants to select the application market and destination. Check these details before acting on an appointment update.
Get your account ready
You do not need an appointment, but be ready to use the official provider portal. Account setup, application references and identity checks vary, so check your route instructions. If the portal uses a profile, make sure you can sign in and that your name, passport number and contact details match your application.
- Confirm the destination, visa category and application location.
- Keep your passport and any application or reference number nearby.
- Prepare documents listed by embassy, consulate or provider for your visa type.
- Know which dates and centres you can genuinely attend.
- Keep access to email used for your application and booking account.
- Have any required payment method ready, without assuming every provider uses the same process.
Do not enter details just to take a slot if they are inaccurate. The appointment must match your jurisdiction, application and travel plans.
What to do after an appointment update
An email update is an opportunity to check the official portal, not proof that you have an appointment. Have the correct route page available and allow enough time to read the provider's instructions before confirming anything.
- Check the route. Confirm the destination, centre, visa category, date and time in the message.
- Open the official portal. Use the embassy, consulate or provider website for that route and sign in with your account.
- Review the slot. Make sure it suits your plans and your application information is accurate.
- Complete the booking. Follow the provider's steps, pay any stated charge through the official process if required, and save the confirmation.
- Keep your records. Store the confirmation, reference number and appointment instructions with your documents.
If the slot is no longer offered when you open the portal, the email is not confirmation. Check your search details and prepare for the next suitable opening. If you already hold an appointment, keep it unless the official portal confirms a replacement or says otherwise.
Start without an existing appointment
Start once you know the route and can meet its requirements. You do not have to wait for an existing appointment. A search is most useful when the dates, centre and visa type reflect what you can attend.
Browse all routes in the visa appointment Cancellation Finder or start with a route such as France from London, France from Dublin, France from New York or France from Toronto. MyVisaPing searches throughout the day for your selected route and sends suitable appointment updates by email. Complete the final booking on the official provider website.
So, no existing appointment is needed. Prepare your account and documents, then treat an email update as a prompt to check the official portal, not as a guaranteed slot.
